CONGRATULATIONS to the following Jefferson students for an outstanding day participating in the Iowa Honor Band hosted by The University of Iowa in Iowa City, yesterday, Saturday, February 16th.

The students participated in master classes and sectional rehearsals with the Iowa faculty and graduate assistants, heard performances by the faculty woodwind trio and Symphony Band, and participated in rehearsals and a performance with Dr. Richard Mark Heidel, Director of Bands at the University of Iowa and Mr. Kevin Kastens, Director of the Hawkeye Marching Band. Congratulations!

CONGRATULATIONS to the Jefferson High School Bands on three great performances on Saturday at the State Large Group Festival at Linn-Mar High School.
We are very proud of the musical growth and progress of the students in each of the ensembles.
The Ninth Grade Concert Band and Symphonic Band earned Division II Excellent ratings and the Wind Symphony earned a Division I Superior rating at the Festival.
