Dear Band Parents and
Students:
The Jefferson Band of Blue
Parent Association is sponsoring the 44th Annual Jefferson High
School Band Carnival on Tuesday, February 12th, from 5:00 to 9:00 pm. Food, fun, games and music are on hand for
the evening. It is one of the major fundraising events for the organization.
The large raffle includes a Grand Prize of a 42” LG Plasma HDTV Television
valued at $1,200.00. The second prize is
an Apple iPod Touch 16GB valued at $425.00 and the third prize is a Nintendo
Wii Game System valued at $249.00.
Tickets are on sale for $2.00 each from any band student or by calling
Lynn O’Connor at 396 -2233. The drawing
will be held at the end of the performances on February 12th. Winners need not be present to win.
During the evening
festivities there will be a small raffle with tickets for 50 cents each or 12
tickets for $5.00. Small raffle prizes
are numerous and include a variety of donated items. There will also be a silent basket auction
throughout the evening. The small raffle
and the food will be provided in the Jefferson Choir room. The carnival game tickets are 25 cents each
and the game area will be in the hallway near the Little Theatre and the
Auditorium and will run from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
One of the highlights of the evening is the
wonderful music that will be performed by the three 8th grade bands
from Roosevelt, Taft and

and Roosevelt combined Band
7:00 9th Grade Band
7:30 Taft Band
8:00 Symphonic Band
8:30 Wind Symphony
9:00 Jazz Band
All
funds raised by the Band Parent Association go towards supporting the Jefferson
High School Band of Blue Program. The
funds help provide additional instructional support during the marching season,
equipment and uniform purchases.
